King's Kitchen: Authentic Chinese Culinary Delights in NYC

Service was amazing. Our waiter was very kind and we stroke up a great conversation. Quick, amazing food that was delicious! I'd definetley recommend the dumpling soup. The seating is a bit tight but it's NYC. They also have this cool thing where if you get the three dice on the same amount of dots, your food is free. Cute little way to make the experience a little better. Definitely will return!!

King's Kitchen on East Broadway is a hidden gem in Chinatown for delicious claypot rice. Their version is the best I've found in the neighborhood - flavorful, perfectly cooked, and with generous portions. If you're looking for a hearty and satisfying meal at a great price, King's Kitchen is definitely worth checking out.

First, understand that this is a chinatown hole in the wall. My expectations for service, communication, "ambiance", and menu accuracy immediately drop to below average. But my expectations for authenticity, traditional flavors and menu items increase to above average. With that in mind, this place did not disappoint, especially their clay pot rice. Of course there was a menu error in their special combo clay pot, but flavors were excellent and most importantly, the rice was done right. Flavorful and saucy on top, slight burnt and crispy on the bottom. Will definitely return for solid food. Just don't expect a fancy restaurant experience. And hey, sometimes that's totally ok. My star rating legend: 5: A+ Worth a special journey (ie. I would go out of my way, maybe even take a flight somewhere just for this; exceptionally amazing) 4: A excellent, a must try, solid place 3: B good; nothing extraordinary, but would definitely go again 2: C personally would never go again (unless invited by someone and I didn't get to pick the place), but I can see how others might find something appealing 1: Fail.  I would never return and recommend no on else goes either.

Dongpo's Pork: favorite order on the table. A must-try for any pork belly fans, like myself. Pieces have good balance between meat and fat. I recommend ordering a side of rice to enjoy this dish with, and the table hot sauce compliments this perfectly. Had to get a sauce refill. Taro with Preserved Meat Clay Pot Rice: the naturally sweet taro deliciously counters the salty meats. To get crispy rice texture, don't stir the bottom right away! The rice texture leaned almost too dry for my person liking--but table soy sauce brings back in some moisture. Also, this dish takes 15+ minutes to prepare so order an appetizer and/or prepare to wait. Rice noodle rolls: wide variety of fillings you don't typically find elsewhere. Great appetizers. All of this came to a $50 bill. Lastly, my server was phenomenal! Very attentive, thorough, and thoughtful.

Authentic Chinese restaurant with fast service and good food. We stopped in just for the chow fun and it was yummy! We ordered to-go and the wait was about 8min. The chicken chopping in the front window kept us entertained while we waited.

3 words. Clay pot rice. Amazing burnt goodness. A true hidden gem. Got two different flavors -- beef and pork knuckle. Both very good but I like the pork better. Once you're finished, they pour hot water into the clay pot to scrape all of that burnt rice goodness. Got gailan and some rice rolls but can't remember which ones...because all I cared about were the casseroles. Got the roasted duck to finish off. Why not, since that is what they're known for. Really good too. At the end, the server even gave a chance to roll 3/3 dice to win that meal free, which I was so close. We are all winners at that meal.

King's Kitchen is a popular spot for their little clay pot rices. I love coming here and grabbing rice dish that comes with so many options. I ordered the Salty Chicken clay pot rice, and drizzle on top some of the soy sauce and hot sauce that's offered. The flavors are there and the rice stays warm. As you reach the bottom it gets a little crunchy which happens with clay rice pots. The rice takes a while to come out because they have to cook them a certain way, so definitely order ahead if you don't like waiting. We also ordered a lettuce dish and it was definitely more flavorful than expected. The sauce on the side made it a little saltier than expected so it's good to add what's needed.

Worth the extra walk into a part of Chinatown lesser known, meaning less tourists. The roast meats shine here, the service is warm and the seating is comfortable if you choose to eat in. Saw many people come in just to order take out while I was there for lunch on a week day.
